	To Know Me Name: Teresa Gail Anderson Age/DOB: 32/ Feb 14 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Physical Description: When you first get a good look at her you've got to decide which is bigger: Her glasses or the ten thousand watt red-painted smile she's never without. If you're kind you say her smile but the truth is her glasses are kind of big, clunky, and just out there except that they suit her just right. Her already large brown eyes seem to grow twice their size behind the translucent lenses and easily showcase her ever giddy, rarely unpleasant, emotions that some have said draw a person in and offer them comfort and reassurance. She's rather short and pleasantly plump as well which is another couple of things that one would immediately notice about this ever vivacious woman. Normally this wouldn't be a good combination for anyone but somehow Teresa makes it work for her, what with the wild prints and patterns of her skirts, shirts, and the ever expanding number of hairclips and ponytail holders she wears almost everyday. Usually that colorful blob you see in the distance is Teresa. Usually. Personality: From a very young age, Teresa learned the value of laughter. Bright and bubbly, loud and warm. Laughter always seemed to make things better. To a little girl with too big eyes and innocence to spare it was something akin to a Godsend to her tiny ears whenever her Momma laughed; probably because Gina Anderson so very rarely did. Since then Tree, as she insists her friends call her, has cultivated every nuance of laughter she could and infused it into her daily life as much as possible until her smile was always bright, her outlook cheery, and could make others feel good by just giving them a cheeky wink or waggle of her brows. It's what she lives for! She has very little that upsets her but she can't stand social prejudice in any form and will jump on anyone that wants to start bullshit. She might not be very tall or particularly strong but she has no problem stepping into a fight if she thinks it'll help. Sometimes this has gotten her into a few sticky situations. (There was the one time she spent three days in county lockup for socking' a meat headed asshole in his glass jaw because of the bile he was spewing...) Looking Back Born under the sign of Capricorn in early 1976 perhaps had set the tone for Teresa Gail Anderson. From the day she came into this world she'd been a very ambitious little thing. Whether it was her demanding cries that would immediately subside once she was safely nestled against her mother's, or anyone's, chest or the little coos of encouragement when she was being fed until, Teresa had always been one to take charge to get what she wanted. Her parents indulged her but only so far. They redirected her demands and headed off tantrums when she didn't get her way until young Teresa learned that it was best to ask and work for what she wanted and not scream and cry; if she asked then she was ten times more likely to get what she wanted in the end. From these early lessons, Tree grew to be a very respectful and well balanced child. This proved to be very adventitious because at the age of four her Father, George Anderson, was killed in a 'Hit and Run' as he made his way into the station - He was the Chief at Grafton PD [West Virginia]. It was a major blow but the little girl weathered it well...much more so than her mother who very nearly had a nervous breakdown. She thinks this is, perhaps, when she started to develop her overly cheery persona that would forever be forefront in her life. Teresa had always been a good student and her grades where always high. She'd been a member of the National Honor Society since hitting sixth grade. Her thirst for knowledge and easy going nature saw her through two grade skips and by the time she was sixteen she was graduating early and already had two scholarships lined up for her first and second college choices. She took the one that offered her a dorm and spent the next eight years studying her ass off until she walked away with a Masters degree in Psychology, firmly rooted in the Counseling offshoot of the main study. For the next few years she drifted between various counseling jobs that bounced her all over the country until she applied and managed to secure her a place at one of the Pride Academies that had been popping up all around the country after the, in her opinion, disastrous governmental interference with free will and human rights. (How anyone could infringe on someone's God given right to choose how to live their own life is beyond her but doesn't make the big decisions.) Now she's at Goldfinch and very happily so! This is her chance to really make a difference. She's ready to help the youngsters and adults alike that wander the halls of the Academy find their path in life and will do everything in her limitless (okay so it's limited but SHH, she likes to think she's Super Girl sometimes) power to make sure they don't give up on themselves. She's a very determined woman. Just try to argue with that smile of hers.
